Sculpture
I majored in Sculpture at art school, where my final year work was grounded in minimalist principles. Influenced by the clarity and discipline of artists like Donald Judd, Sol Lewitt and Richard Serra, I was also drawn to the architectural precision of De Stijl, the formal balance of Mondrian and the experimental assemblages of Picasso.
I combined this appreciation with a deep affection for found materials - an instinct shaped by explorations of my father's scrapyard as a child, where I learned the value in the discarded. These early experiences still shape my practice today.
