Found: is a series of works created using only found materials. Nic undertakes a daily walk and collects any items that draw her attention through their colour, form or incongruity in the landscape.

This series is not only an environmental commentary reflecting on how much we humans discard into the natural environment, but also seeks to question what we consider to be beautiful in our society. It is inspired by the Japanese principle of Wabi Sabi – the idea that there is beauty in the imperfect. If we look closely enough at anything, if we take the time, we can find something beautiful there.
